Meet the Artist!
Hi, there! My name is Fabiano, and I am the digital artist behind all of the amazing artworks you see on the website.
« Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life. »
When I look back into my life and take a moment to think about it, how I started and how far I have come, I cannot help but simply feel grateful for the path I’ve been leading all these years.
Maybe it was faith or maybe I just got lucky but somehow along the way, my passion in life became my job, and step by step, I started making a living out of it and the most important side of the story is that I was and still enjoying every bit of it.
Today, I can honestly tell you that every word stated in the quote I just mentioned is a word I live by.
Like most of the people I have encountered, worked with, and worked for, you are probably wondering too :
How it all started or maybe how young I was when I started this amazing journey?
Maybe I was born with it, a special gift from God to add a magical touch to my life or at least that’s what my mother used to tell me for as long as I could remember. Always scratching and drawing around since a very young age on paper, on clothes, and on the walls, I have grown up to love this passion a lot more every day.
When I started elementary school, my obsession only got bigger when I met my new best friend back then, who happened to share the same passion as me. You have probably guessed it, we used to spend most of our free time locked in our rooms turning animals and every pet we knew into cute and nice drawings.
My new friend had developed some great skills at drawing animals and the more he drew the more he got better and honestly he was just way better than me.
Nevertheless, this only pushed me to work on myself to be better as well, so I have decided to find something else I could excel at and it was then when I discovered the wonders of Japanese animation.
The concept of CHIBI was like a lightbulb for me, the light at the end of the tunnel, and the discovery that has changed my life and officially started my journey as an artist.
Once I realized CHIBI is what I was made for, I devoted a lifetime to figure it out. I spent endless nights drawing all my friends and teachers and molded every art assignment I could in Art school to involve Chibi and anime.
Once I graduated from SACI College of Art & Design in Florence and from the moment I got headhunted at my grad show by an event planner in 2006 who fell in love with my art - and despite my professors’ endless efforts to convince me to move forward with the schooling path and get to Grad school- I’ve been living the cartoon artist dream ever since.
My life journey wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies, I have faced a lot of bumps along the way and went through some dark days to get to where I am today but I am grateful for everything, every little detail that had led me to this.
Both as an individual and as an artist, I am still learning and exploring myself, trying to figure out what else I can do and give and I never want to stop doing that because that’s what keeps pushing me to be a better version of myself and give you a better version of my art.
Thank you for taking the time to read me.
And if there’s anything else you would like to know about me, don’t hesitate! Just ask.
